Assist-Travel/Transport is an important service that YH Support Services provides to people with disabilities. This service is designed to support Participants in getting to and from appointments, events, and other activities, as well as providing transportation for day-to-day needs.

Our Assist-Travel/Transport services include:

• Providing transportation: We provide transportation to and from appointments, events, and other activities, as well as for day-to-day needs such as grocery shopping and running errands. Our Direct Support Workers are trained to provide safe and reliable transportation, and will always work closely with Participants to ensure that their needs are met.
• Assisting with public transportation: We provide support with using public transportation, including helping Participants to plan routes and understand schedules, and providing accompaniment on trips.
• Providing accompaniment: We provide accompaniment on trips, including to appointments, events, and other activities, to ensure that Participants are safe and comfortable.
• Supporting with travel planning: We provide support with planning travel, including researching destinations, booking accommodations, and making transportation arrangements.
• Providing ongoing support and review: We provide ongoing support and review of Participants’ progress, and make any necessary adjustments to their support plan as needed.

At YH Support Services, we understand that transportation can be a significant challenge for people with disabilities. That’s why we are committed to providing high-quality Assist-Travel/Transport services that support Participants in getting to and from appointments, events, and other activities, as well as providing transportation for day-to-day needs. Our services are tailored to each Participants needs, and are provided in a person-centred way, working closely with Participants, their support networks, and other stakeholders to ensure that our services meet their individual needs.
