Accommodation and tenancy is an important aspect of YH Support Services’ support services for people with disabilities. We understand that having a safe and secure place to call home is essential for people with disabilities to lead fulfilling lives.

At YH Support Services, we believe that everyone has the right to a safe and secure place to call home, and we are committed to providing high-quality Accommodation/Tenancy services that enable people with disabilities to achieve that goal. Our Accommodation/Tenancy services are tailored to each Participants needs, and are provided in a person-centred way. We work closely with Participants, their support networks, and other stakeholders to ensure that our services meet their individual needs and support them to live an independent life as possible.

Our Accommodation/Tenancy services include:

• Assisting Participants to find suitable accommodation: We work with Participants to identify their housing needs and preferences, and then assist them to find suitable accommodation that meets those needs. This may include private rentals, shared accommodation, or supported accommodation.
• Assisting Participants to secure accommodation: Once Participants have found suitable accommodation, we assist them to secure it by assisting with the application process, ensuring that they meet the landlord’s requirements, and providing any necessary references or letters of support.
• Assisting Participants to maintain their accommodation: Once Participants have secured their accommodation, we assist them to maintain it by helping them to pay their rent and bills, and by providing support with cleaning, maintenance, and any other tasks that are required to keep the accommodation in good condition.
• Assisting Participants to transition to new accommodation: If Participants need to move to new accommodation, we assist them to make the transition smoothly by helping them to find new accommodation, securing it, and providing support during the move.
• Providing support to Participants who are experiencing housing crisis: In cases where Participants are experiencing housing crisis, we provide support to help them find a safe and secure place to live as soon as possible.
